Expressions from our Partners
I am pleased to
announce that I’ve started my first class!
I loved it! I had a chance to meet all of my classmates and became
acquainted with their personal experiences. We have two 60 year old students in
our class and they are a great inspiration. I’m looking forward to continuing
my education. – Pam Robinson –
I made A/B honor
roll for the 2nd quarter again. I have a 3.0 grade average but I’m
trying to get straight A’s. I also have
moved up to the Advance Class playing the flute in Instrumental.

Osborne-
My AMDA audition
is March 13th. Please wish me
luck and keep me in your prayers. –Lela Kinchen-
Sisters, God
placed vision in you for you to accomplish and enjoy! May your heart continue to burn within as you
activate your faith towards fulfilling that vision. Love you all! – Kim Harris-
The Father has
set forth a way to live day by day for Him. (Colossians 3:12-17) (1) We are to
imitate Christ compassionate forgiving attitude (2) Let love guide your life,
(3) Let the peace of Christ rule in your heart, (4) always be thankful, (5)
Keep God’s Word in you at all times (6) live as Jesus Christ’s representative.
These are relationship builders which should be expressed in every member of
God’s Kingdom, His Church, and His body. –Ann Watson-
The teaching on "Your
Faith" was awesome and spoken to the hearts of God's people. One
thing that really opened my eyes is how when God created us, he gave us
everything we needed....love, joy, gifts, etc. How wonderful is that!!!!
So what do we keep looking for? Also, how faith is your energy...your drive for
life. I encourage the women this week to continue to keep the faith
through feeding our Spirits daily with the Word of God and not allowing
discouragement and self-doubt to infiltrate our conscious. – Toya Young -
Dear Sisters in
the Faith,
I wanted to
encourage every one of us to keep in view what was discussed at one of our last
Women’s Fellowship concerning, “Making your Spiritual Life a Priority.” We
learned that there is too much going on in our world today and that two things
were important. (1) that we pay close attention to our own spiritual and moral
lives; (2) that we become “Agents of Change” to help others who are in darkness
to the “Light of God” which is the Saving Power of Jesus Christ. This was a
very powerful and enlightening study and discussion. Continue to study and keep
it before you. “You are the salt of the earth…You are the light of the world.” Matthew
5:13-16 -Robin Osborne-
In our current Stone lessons we have been
learning about the church and how it is a gathering of all the Jesus Christ
followers – everywhere, worldwide, and in every culture. We are the body
of the Lord Jesus Christ in and all throughout the world. Just as Christ
is concerned about us, His body; we should also be concerned about one another.
Sometimes as Believers in a local assembly,
particularly in the United States, we are not cognizant of the persecution our
brothers and sisters face in their local assemblies, in other parts of the
world. We are blessed to be able to freely worship, freely call upon the
name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and freely read and study His Word,
anytime we want. This is not the reality of many Christians outside of
America. There is no freedom to love and serve God, they risk their lives
to do so. Democracy, the right to self-determination and the freedom to
choose one’s religion are principles embedded within the governmental fabric of
our country. Even with our many flaws and challenges, we still enjoy
everyday freedoms that others can only dream about.
The Word of God tells us in The Word of God
tells us in I Corinthians 12:26, “If one part suffers, all the parts suffer
with it, and if one part is honored, all the parts are glad.” (NLT). We
are the body of the Living Christ, yet some of our parts our bound, bruised and
broken. Would it be enough to get out of bed tomorrow and as you notice
your arm bleeding and broken say, “Oh wow, that’s sad?” No, we would
attend to hurt, we would find out what was wrong and how to fix it. Likewise,
we should be concerned about the sufferings of the Body of Christ – our
brothers and sisters whereby we have fellowship one with the other, in the
Spirit.
I have worshipped with Believers sitting in
plastic chairs on dirt roads. I have entered a church with armed guards
checking your ID at the door, because if you were a citizen of that country you
would be jailed right there, immediately. I understand that many of us
may never see these things that happen ‘afar off’, but the heart of Christ
brings us close to the pain, the suffering, and the fear of those persecuted
for His namesake. When we educated ourselves on what is happening to the
Body of Christ, through resources like Voice of the Martyrs (www.persecution.com) and International
Christian Concern (www.persecution.org), then we can fervently
pray for our brothers and sisters, and manifest the love we are to show
according to John 13:35.
We learned in the Stone lesson that the Church
assembles to learn the teachings, principles and practices of Christ. His
practice is love in action. –Tyra Brown-
